Well, Ladies-I am really enjoying the study we are doing now called Feminine Appeal. We just finished this week's chapter on loving our children. I have definitely been challenged to be more patient and tender with my kids. It seems like whenever God has me look at an area of my life that needs work, He provides LOTS of opportunities for me to practice this. I can't tell you how many times the Holy Spirit has stopped me-dare I say frustrated me- this week during my "duties" as mom to focus more on listening to them(without supper in the back of my head), spending quality time with them(without beind distracted by the laundry buzzer), and thinking loving thoughts toward them. The truth is, when I don't give my loved ones priority of my time and my day, I get no peace. Sure, I may get more done around the house, but I have lost opportunities of precious moments with the ones I love I will never get back. Sobering to me.
Now on to this week! :) The Safety of Self-Control. It's a fun one! I am already feeling rotten about eating that bowl of ice cream last night before bed. Hang in there, everyone. I am sure God will give us plenty of opportunites to practice!
